Hydraulic Nuts

Hydraulic Nuts operate on the same principal as Hydraulic Bolt Tensioners: High pressure is used to axially stretch the bolt until the desired load is achieved. This load is then transferred to the Nut and the elongation of the bolt is maintained by an integral locking collar. Unlike mechanical jacking nuts where bolt loading requires a lengthy and tedious process of torquing a multitude of individual jack screws, only four simple steps are needed to quickly load a hydraulic nut:
  1. stab a quick-connect hose onto the Nut's fitting
  2. pressurize
  3. engage the locking collar
  4. remove the hose

Productivity is enhanced further by being able to gang together any number of Hydraulic Nuts for simultaneous joint closure.

Ideal from the smallest applications such as crank-case bolting to massive applications like rolling mills and BOF tie bars, Hydraulic Nuts are the perfect answer to Industry's need for fast and easy bolt tightening.
